I have five Eufy 2C cameras around the exterior of my house. I can tell you firsthand this is a great system with highly customizable quality, motion, night vision and recording controls.

My only complaint is that the porch camera, where there's a lot of activity, requires a charge about every 2 months, not 6. I suggest installing the cameras in areas that are either easy to access, or connect a Eufy solar panel charger.
Eufy cameras are riddled with artifacts due to the terrible compression algorithm. There is no chance at making out a face at greater than 10 feet with these cams. Sad part is if they updated that these would be amazing. They never will though. They always promise updates that never come.
These also DO NOT NEED A CLOUD service. They store video locally to the base station.

I'm curious as to why this isn't getting more love. I tried the Reolink Argus 3 ($100 with the solar panel) recently and have it up in front of my garage but not happy with it because of lack of zones and the fact that medium sensitivity is too low and high is too high. I've heard/read good things about these. I've used the Eufy indoor 1080P cams and the human detection and notifications are instant and spot on accurate. This also seems to be one of the best pricing for this set. I also know that they've been promising USB storage expansion for some time and haven't delivered on that (and probably won't). Looking forward to more feedback in these comments.

I have the 2 cam kit and it's been great. I have them hooked up to HomeKit and it has been working great. The battery life is a stretch and like others have said if you put a camera in a high activity area expect to recharge it more often.

I did have one camera die in me and Eufy mailed me a brand new one after I sent the defective one back. I was without a camera for 4 days.

Good deal if you want the 2C. I'm waiting for the 2 Pro to go on sale again.

I have 3 1080p Eufy 2's and 2 Solo E40's (need to install them)

Reason why I'm waiting for the 2 pro is for the additional battery life since I'm installing these high in a tree and I don't want to get the ladder out every month to charge them. 😁

Is it worth considering to replace my oldish Arlo setup? Already using some Eufy components (door lock etc), so standardizing on single ecosystem sounds attractive...

Eufy never seems to get much love compared to Wyze. Maybe cause of the price difference but I feel like the Eufy images are clearer than Wyze. I've been slowly replacing my Wyze cams (v1 and v2) with Eufy cams (indoor and outdoor). I got the 2-cam kit 2c model a couple months ago during Prime day and I like them so far.

Both companies have there plus and minus when it comes to software and design. I still use my Wyze cams because it has some nice app features like being able to run all the cams at once instead of having to tap on each cam to see the live feed like on the Eufy app. But I'm still leaning on changing to mostly Eufy going forward because of the clearer picture.

I haven't used the Wyze v3 or there outdoor cam but those might actually be the updates I've been looking for. Those just came out too late by the time I started switching to Eufy.

I generally like the Eufy2 system; I have several 2 Pros installed around a relative's house, using two base stations to extend range (it's a largish property). Cameras are good quality, good image, overall decent feature set. My biggest complaint is the battery life; you can reasonably expect about half the advertised life per charge (subject to activity level of the camera of course). For that reason alone, I'd stay away from these smaller versions; wait for the 2 Pro set to go on sale. Probably around Black Friday, as it did last year.

Related to that primary complaint. Has anyone tried connecting standard micro-USB solar panels to these? In theory at least, I think it should work and I'd like to upgrade that previously mentioned setup so they don't have to run around the house removing/charging/remounting cameras every 6 months. Something along the lines of these guys:

I switched to this from my arlo system because I already had some indoor cams, and I wanted to use the door sensors as well. It is nice having everything in a single app, and I think they're fairly comparable to my arlo pros. The 2Cs have a bit wider field of view, however, I don't find the zones to work well on my front camera. I still get multiple false alerts from cars, regardless of zones and sensitivity. And when I set it to human only, it missed several deliveries. I've noticed a lot of the time it doesn't detect them as "human", just a motion. To fix this, I had to put the camera at a weird angle so it doesn't point at the street. Also, if you use the sound detection on your Arlos, be prepared to say bye to it on the Eufy cams. Overall, I'm satisfied with the Eufy system, but I don't feel I gained much from what I had with my Arlos, other than the convenience of a single app.

I have this solar panel: Wasserstein Solar Panel https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08K8X8...UTF8&psc=1
In settings, I changed the Power Manager > Power Source to solar. I get several alerts a day and my battery almost always shows at 100%
