Although I'd rather it didn't have sugar, that's probably the only way I'll ever convince my kids to take them.

Is it actually useful for kids? I mean, I've never needed these, even at my age, so I think for kids at least their regular food should have enough of magnesium

I did the same but the magnesium started giving me horrific/lucid nightmares. I just stopped taking it 3 days ago and voila, good sleep again (although the RLS symptoms are there again - can't win!).

Yes. Although I did have some very vivid dreams when I started taking it, I have slept like a baby ever since. The dreams have somewhat lessened as of late but I still sleep like a rock.

Allegedly Magnesium, helps create new synapses in your brain, helping you think clearer and have dreams you can remember (if you usually dont). But only patented Magtein was known to cross the blood brain barrier. The flipside is, people claim that with extended use you build up tolerance and if you quit there is a withdrawal. I dont have RLS, but have you tried a weighted blanket and turning the AC down? Maybe even a glass of wine or shot before bed?
