Remember that the dose makes the poison. If you spray this stuff for 8 hours a day for an entire working life, there might be some consequences if you aren't careful. If you spray this stuff 4x a year for 20 minutes, you will probably be safe if you follow the label.

Round-up and the generic glysophosphate is probably just fine - the real problem is the round-up ready crops that they spray this shit on. If you spray it around your property to kill the errant weed, you aren't going to die. But this is in your cereal, and grains - that, probably WILL kill you.

Also - buy this if you need the pump/sprayer - otherwise, the concentrate RM-43 is basically the same stuff.

I just bought a house. The previous owner had 4 outdoor pitbulls, and the back yard is mostly dirt and weed i want to kill everything left and then start over... If yall weren't cancer bashing this product I would have bought it. What do I do?

I bought a 2.5 Gallon jug of RM-43 last year at Tractor Supply for the first time. I'd read about the added ingredient (Imazapyr) that was supposed to stop weeds from growing in the first place. I admit I was skeptical, but damn! The stuff really worked! I sprayed it on the dirt areas around my home last Nov. just before the rains started, and there were zero weeds. I almost didn't believe it, but it works. You can use it like Roundup for spot treatment as well, but I've used it exclusively for pre-emergent weed control only. I highly recommend it if you have a major weed problem. It's supposed to stay active for up to a year, and we're coming up on a year since I sprayed and there's still no weeds at all out in my backyard. I bought the 2.5 G. container as it's the most economical, last year it was $95, now I looked on their website and the price has increased to $120. That kind of sucks, but I still recommend it anyway - that size container will last for several years for us. IMO, it's worth it. Basically, that amount will cover up to one acre, one time. If you are covering less area, then much longer of course. (note: might be cheaper at HD)

Local farm stores sell gallon jugs of generic glyphosate for about $20. Usually mix around 5 oz per gallon of water giving you a little over 25 gallons of spray. Way better deal than these premix sales.
