Just a heads up: I recently found my LG C8 TV got an update to support Airplay and Apple tv+ app. Also the nvidia shield tv got apple tv+ app a month ago.

So check your existing equipment first if they got apple tv app update before jump to Apple TV hardware purchase.

Could be retail store returns too. I ordered mine a year ago, still had Apple warranty remaining on it. Very good price for the 64GB variant

How does this compare to the 2021 edition?

I have a 2017 Nvidia shield that is definitely showing its age.

Looking to use the Apple TV for zwift cycling app. Clearly the 2021 edition will have better performance, but is it worth a $75+ premium or just buy this?

It's a good thing they got update . But if you really wanted a good UI and smooth experience browsing apps Apple TV hardware is the best .

Nice deal especially for 64GB. Most of the time the sales are on the 32 GB. If you can deal with the remote it's a good buy.
