As many noted on the previous deal thread, this is not up to the quality of a 10in, pro/job site saw....but if you want that, be prepared to spend 50% more.

Nevermind that SDers have the Amazon CC that gives you 5% off the $299 price.
I'm pretty sure most household circuits are rated for either 15 or 20 amps. Running this thing on a standard circuit means you can't run much else on that individual circuit.

Same thing with a good circular saw, or router. 15amp is kind of the higher rated standard for power tools. But you are correct in your reply to the other guy.

Dewalt 8 inch with legs was going for $300 on occasion at HD. Others here said Dewalt was discontinuing the model, hence the deal. If the 8in size isn't an issue and you don't need to use dado blades, then nothing wrong with going with the Dewalt.
BTW - this deal is live again.
