How flexible is the timing on this? Looking to have a light gradually change brightness and color back and forth on a loop over the course of a few seconds.
Just bought 2.
It seems a very difficult process to connect these to my router, which is a Cox router, likely broadcasting at 5 GHZ, whereas bulbs connect at 2.4 GHZ
Neither cox nor Lenovo seem to offer an easy step-by-step process to set up smart devices.
Maybe you'll have more luck, but it's a real PIA setting up when it shouldn't be.
Any advice before I send these suckers back?

I had the same issue. First connect to your 2.4ghz router signal with your phone THEN setup the light.
MY SOLUTION: Only way I got this to work was to take the bulbs and the phone far enough away from the router so that it was broadcasting at 2.4 GHZ (not an option for everyone) Then activated the bulbs at that far distance where only the 2.4 signal could reach, then put them back in the 5 GHZ range once activated.
See if your router has 2.4ghz option in the settings page. Most routers usually do but your one might be turned off by default.
I would search for router model on Google along with keyword setup.
Thanks. I tried to access the router, but propietary Cox routers don't grant that access to change those settings. . Very limited re-configuring options. Spoke to Cox CS. They were of no help. I figured a workaround and posted it yesterday..
