Wow, I think this is the very first flashlight posted on SD as OP said that's legitimate! Thanks!

I have no experience with this brand... but I have dozens of 18650 flashlights from SD's over the past 5 or so years.

IMHO, the videos and photos they show look almost no different than any other Chinese knockoff at 1/2 (or lower) price with 3k or lower lums. Granted, I have not picked up a flashlight since covid started and the associated price increases. So, I understand that price is not always equal.

I would also be concerned about those three batteries in such a tight configuration since they get hot at such high draw rates. Most of the higher lums flashlights that I have are longer vs. fatter.

Might as well pick up the higher 8000 lums one for a few bucks more and the same brand? https://www.amazon.com/Flashlight...hi&sr=1-23
Are you actually going to get the 8k lumen one? you're making me question which one I should get now. lol

It has four LEDs so it is not really a 5000 lm flashlight. Adding multiple LEDs together at a lower lumen rating is not equivalent. Having a 1250 lm flashlight with a single 18650 is likely just as good and cheaper.
4674 lumen is pretty close....

Excellent flashlight. It's a little heavier than I thought it would be, but it's been a strong performer all summer.

I love all my sofirn flashlights. Sofirn makes great flashlights for the price, these definitely aren't your typical cheap chinese fake 100,000 Lumen rated, $10 flashlights. These are legit.

I wholeheartedly agree with the people who are saying that this is an excellent flashlight and that Sofirn is a reputable brand. I currently own about 50 or 60 flashlights and I'd say that about 20 or 25 of them are Sofirn lights, and I've probably given away around 10 Sofirn flashlights, to family and friends.

And my collection includes this light posted here, the SP36, that has built-in USB-C charging and is an absolutely incredible light. It's impressively bright and the battery life is fantastic, specifically, on the lower levels. It's considered a soda can flashlight, but it's literally one of the most popular flashlights that I've seen on the Reddit Flashlight subreddit and on the BLF forums (BudgetLightForum).

For $46, this is legitimately a great deal and I would highly recommend it. If I could afford it, I would buy 10 of these things and give them away to family and friends. It is an excellent light and I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this thing. Particularly, at this $46 price point.

Edit: I just checked and saw that I actually purchased this in January of 2020, over a year and a half ago, and I still have the light, it's an excellent working condition, and I'm actually charging it right now, after being reminded of how much I like this light. when I bought this light, back in January of last year, it included a $21 discount and with that discount, it still cost more than $46 and I have to say that it was a fantastic deal, then. Not to mention, this does include three 18650 batteries and you don't need an external charger, because this flashlight has the built-in USB-C charging, which I'm literally using right now, to charge my SP36, while posting this comment on here, at 1:33 a.m. Arizona time, on September 17th, 2021

In general, any high-powered flashlight can get really hot; specifically, if you're using it on the brightest settings. This particular flashlight (SP36), though, is physically fatter than most lights and has more material, so it should have better heat-displacement (I think it's called) than smaller sized flashlights.

I wasn't exaggerating, when I said that it's literally one of the most-popular/beloved flashlights that I've seen discussed on flashlight forums. If you're on Reddit, go on to the r/flashlight subreddit and do a search for the Sofirn SP36 and you will see lots of feedback about it, with almost all of the feedback being positive and the light being given lots of praise. Plus, you should be able to read the reviews on Amazon and get a good idea of what people think of it.

Personally, I think it is an excellent flashlight and I would highly recommend it. I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on flashlights, and I've gotten somewhat out of control, over the past couple years, and I've spent dozens of hours, reading reviews and asking questions and looking for information about flashlights, and I'm being completely honest and forthcoming, when I say that this is a fantastic flashlight.

This is definitely a great flashlight and the best price I've seen for it (I paid about $48 on a sale directly from Sofirn with a long shipping wait).

However, it's my least used flashlight because of its soda can size and my limited needs (don't have a dog to walk, don't have a large yard/property to light up, live in a small, compact city). It's not pants-pocketable, and in a jacket pocket it's awkwardly heavy.

I see flashlight deals all the time. Even bought one once - use it wander the backyard after dark maybe twice per year...

What on Earth do you do with 60 flashlights (or even like 5 lights)!?!
