As far as I understand, the trade in has to be for a router. if you are trading something else, then u will get 20% discount on something similar to the trade in and not for eero.

Yup, I selected a router as trade in. Is it instant or do I have to send in my router first and then the 20% additional will become active?

yes

Once your trade-in is complete, an Amazon.com Gift Card equal to an appraised value of your old device(s), plus a promotional discount towards any new qualifying eero router, will be automatically applied to your account. Promotional discount is limited to one per customer.

I have a crappy DLink router but it does not show up in the eligible device list. How do I get the trade to accept it ?

I have a Dlink AC1900 router (heck even Airport Express / extreme is not showing up)

I know, I think only selective routers are eligible. the BestBuy 15% deal seems superior if this is the case as they accept any router. maybe try amazon help/chat and ask them if they can do something or have more information. It sometimes help.

I thought I read a couple of Amazon reviews that said the pro 6 is more buggy than the regular pro. Anyone have any experience with them? What about 6e? Any reason to wait on that to come out?

I tried the non-Pro Eero 6. it was slower and less range than my Eero Pro non-6 with both wifi 5 and 6 clients. don't know about Pro 6.

I have a mix of gen 1 eeros, gen 2 eero pro, eero pro 6, and eero 6. I've not had any issues.
