I like mine. Can carry my first aid stuff, pens and pencils, notebooks, pistol and extra mags, keys, carabiner, paracord and battlecord, extra socks and underwear. Pretty much anything you may need if stranded on side of the road, range trip, work bag or whatever. Not too heavy, dufflebag type handle if you want to carry flat and not on the back, place for hydration bladder, and the insulated ouch is OK, but not much better than the cheap bags you buy at grocery store to try and keep ice cream and stuff from thawing on the way home. But plenty of space for a 15.6 laptop, tablets, phone, water bottles and whatever else you may need.

Geeeesh... if that's where your mentality is at, then why bother looking at deals like this. Search for REI deals instead.

I can tell you that I'd not care what bag someone has if they come to my rescue when in needs.

I know you're probably joking but the answer to this is yes - you will be judged by REI snobs on the trail.

At the end of the day, if you can walk the walk, it doesn't matter what you're carrying. That being said, this backpack looks kinda uncomfortable for anything more than a light walk or a picnic.

No one cares. And REI doesn't really sell packs like this that have integrated coolers. This is a fun pack for toting some picnic food to the beach. You could haul it up a mountain too, but it's a lot of unnecessary features and extra weight for that. I take Ozark Trail packs on hikes all the time and it's fine--they make some nice 28L lightweight packs (like this one: https://slickdeals.net/f/15219403-ozark-trail-28l-gainesville-backpack-9-95-free-shipping-w-walmart-or-orders-35?src=SiteSearch )

Do you think this would be too heavy to use as a diaper bag? Looks like it has a lot of compartments!

It's not very heavy empty, so I think it would work well. Maybe a little overkill, but biapers in the big back compartment, wipes and powder in the middle, and front has small organizer pockets that would go good for lids and bottles. Definitely would not run out during the day on stuff.
