here's their dropdown picklist from their warranty claim website of why you need a replacement. as you can see, the transducers rattling is a known issue.

Love mine.

These are hand-washable, last a couple days of moderate use between charges. I've gotten no complaints using the mic for calls.

Listening to podcasts or books while doing housework or other drudgery makes the tasks so much more pleasant. "Oh, I guess I'm finished. Pity there's nothing else to do."

Works lag-free when watching videos on my phone or on Chromecast w/ Google TV. Unfortunately there is lag when using them on the Nintendo Switch (new feature on the latest firmware): about 3/4 of a jump's worth of lag in Super Mario World and Ninja Gaiden.

If you're a sound quality snob you're not using bluetooth headphones anyway. You're using some dac/amp setup huddled over a record player using a set of cans nobody has heard of

Honestly consider the OpenComm. I love every one of my Aftershokz headsets but ever since I purchased the OpenComm to use on conference calls. I rarely take them off. They are as light as the air

Mine just broke yesterday (inside the earpiece something is now loose making a chime when i run). Need to see if it's under warranty but kicking myself for not buying a backup when they were sub 100. Painful to buy at $120 "on sale"

Can anyone comment on wearing these with hearing aids for team meetings?
My wife has hearing aids and wears them with these - not first person experience but she says she loves these headphones.

ooh, thanks for this. I wasn't aware that a mic version (well, a better mic version) had come out.

I'll need to research how this differs from the aeropex model.

My 2 cents is, don't throw away the package as you might need to return.
I had their air model and I could not hear anything via bone conduction was able to hear only from the tiny speakers.
Bone conduction is not for everyone..

I have a set of these and love them. They are excellent for multitasking when you want to be aware of your surroundings and still hear music, podcasts, or radio. Not the highest quality sound, but still good.

I love my Aeropex. I used to do biking around the city (bike share) before the pandemic, and I also do self defense, and from both worlds, these are indispensable as you can use them without losing situational awareness. For those who have never used bone conduction headsets before, they conduct sound through the bones in your head into your inner ears, not via your ear drums.

Interesting side fact, the reason why people think they sound different when they hear recordings of themselves is because most of what you think of as your voice is you hearing it as conducted through your bones. When you hear it only via your eardrums, it doesn't sound as deep and therefore different.

I have owned the Air and the Titanium before this. The Aeropex is leaps and bounds better than those. The Aeropex is lighter and has better sound quality. However, if you turn them to max volume, once in a while, they will BUZZ on your face. It does so much less than the Air or the Titanium, but definitely try to blast some music while you're in the return period to make sure.

They are great for sports. They are nearly impossible to shake off during workouts. I've sprinted at full speed and even box/kickboxed without them coming off

As @ppsagehen reported, over time, they have a tendency of becoming loose and rattling inside. I think the transducers become detached. I've had 2 of them do that to me after about a year.. The good news is that their customer service stands ready to deal with it. When I submitted a warranty claim for them, they immediately sent me a brand new set as a replacement.

This is a great deal. I paid full price for mine and I probably would again given how much I use them. I use them everyday when walking my dog, and have started using them when cycling. I used to never listen to anything while cycling because I wanted to stay aware of my surroundings. Using these feels like you just turned on the radio in the car. You still hear everything as usual, but now you can also listen to whatever you want. It's almost like having a voice in your head.

For those who haven't tried bone conduction headphones before and are curious to what they sound like, for music, they sound like really small and cheap bluetooth speakers with no bass. In reality, they pretty much are just little speakers, as you can still hear them if they're 1cm away and not touching your ears.

Most of the sound is in the midrange, so for voices (podcasts, audiobooks), which is mainly what I use it for, they actually sound great.

Was initially very hesitant on these. I saved the packaging just in case they ended up being terrible but I absolutely love these. I wear them at work in construction. Calls come in loud and clear and I haven't heard any complaints about my end. I use these for music and they sound just fine. Not any better or worse than my Jabra elite 75t or Samsung galaxy buds+. Now when you do use the bone conduction portion it does muddy up the sound a bit but hey, you can still listen to whatever with earplugs in so that's a tradeoff I'm ok with.

Anyone use these while cycling? I'm curious about how the mic works for that application, and whether they'd work as an intercom headset for two riders (using a simple voice call as the intercom).
Wind noise kills it when cycling fast for the mic. Great for listening though

Thanks! I just checked and I have 2 months left on the warranty! They do have a good reputation for honoring their warranty so I am looking forward to getting a replacement. I love mine so much I can't imagine life without them. I use them while running, while driving, while gardening, for calls, pretty much all the time.

I wouldn't go that far. They're nice, and certainly better than my swimming/SwimP3 set, but they're not even close to my Jabra 65t, much less something mid-level like my Westone UM3x.

I equate it to having your own, volume controlled background music/Musak and slightly better than the speaker on my phone for calls. It's still fantastic compared to isolating, in-ear, or on-ear headsets for everyday use where fidelity doesn't matter nearly as much as distraction or communication.
