How do you like them so far? I'm between these and Lorex. But not sure I want to do all the wiring.

Do these connect to their hub or it saves everything on the camera itself?

E40 is pretty bad on battery so you really need to hook up with solar panel.

Local on camera.

I have half dozen of these, they work well. I agree re: the solar panel comment above - these drain but charge well with the included solar panel.

I just ordered online. Yet to receive the product. My need is to have Solar Panel without any monthly subscription pay. So it fits my needs. Hoping it should work as expected,

I don't have any direct sunlight coming to the front of my house. Guess solar panel cameras are not an option for me

A hardwired camera that records 24/7 will never miss anything, but a lot of them don't have a good app or good motion detection. We had a hardwired system before the house got renovated top to bottom and I went with Ring afterward. It was decent, but WiFi is weak and at the time, the Ring Doorbell 2 was the latest and it wasn't great with motion detection.

Switched to Eufy about a year ago and while it's not perfect either, it's the best for our needs. Notifications come in quick and load quick (Ring took forever), there's no monthly fees, and their proprietary WiFi between the base and cameras is excellent.

Ideally in the future I'd probably hardwire cameras on the four corners of the house as a backup with a couple of Eufys in-between and at the doors to use primarily since it's quick and easy to view recorded and live footage.

For Ring, there is an additional app called Rapid Ring that allows you to view the video instantly. The regular Ring app is pretty slow because of the alarm integration now.

I tried that but it wasn't much better. I think the slow response was exacerbated by weak WiFi to the cameras/doorbells. I'm in a dense urban area so there are a lot of WiFI networks and the associated congestion/interference. The Blink XT and now Eufy cameras work great in the same spots the Ring cameras struggled. That being said, I setup my aunt with a similar setup (and we have the same ISP, plus I set her up with the same Orbi mesh WiFi we have) and hers works just fine. Her area has far fewer WiFi networks.

We do use the Ring alarm system though and have for several years now. It's great. Not sure how the Eufy security system is but I really like the cameras for what they are. Video quality (especially from the 2K cameras and doorbells) is much better than Ring.

So you went from blink to eufy? I have blink now but not impressed and they charge new members for everything. What are your thoughts between the eufy and blink?

I have blink above my door and eufy doorbell camera at the side of my door. Sometimes Blink records motion and sometimes Eufy doesnt record the motion AND vice versa. A few times both records when theres motion sensor. They are not perfect. I dont know if its my wifi router being too far. It doesnt record fully. Like when a friend came by to our house or someone else at the front door talking to us at the door, it doesnt record for minutes. It just cuts off after 1 min for Eufy. Blink cuts off quick even though there is motion sensor still going on. Blink captures stray cats walking by but not Eufy. Even though the camera view for Eufy sees the ground and cats walking around, it just doesnt record at all.

After about 9 months of Blink use, it stops recording completely. I had to unplug everything and replug it back again. I even have a WiFi Extender. Still doesnt help much.

I kinda like Ring. I never own it but my friend showed it to me. It records 24/7 but there is subscription fee which is why I didnt buy.

Thanks for comment. Interested in doing similar hybrid setup. Eufys maby my next go-to's, replacing Wyze, etc.

Blink was always really quick to trigger, app worked okay. WiFi reception was excellent. I still have one of the cameras in my storage shed since I'm grandfathered in with free cloud storage. The Blink cameras took expensive lithium AA batteries which had to be replaced once a month at our most used camera out front which got expensive. The Eufys need to be charged every few weeks in the same high traffic spots but that's perfectly fine for me. The lesser used ones easily last 3-6 months depending on which camera.
