Tried to sell a ps4 pro on the popular auction site and i went through 4 or so relistings only to sell for something like 250 shipped. They also took their their cut and.... yeah this doesn't seem like a bad deal at all. Wish I had not gone the auction route tbh.

At the store they told me 5+ years. So hopefully I'll be able to land a PS5 by then!

Traded my X, S and pro for $715 credit over the weekend when I saw the trade in go up. Great deal!

I just sold my pro on fb market for $320 yesterday. It was the cheapest one on there. I think it's due to them being discontinued.
Thats a good deal for you....I paid $335 in July of 18 (Days of Play sale plus Target 5% discount). If I could get $320 I'd be escatic. Pretty much lease a PS4 for 15 bucks for 3 years

You should be able to sell a PS4 Pro for $300-350 on Marketplace

Well heck I might as well do that. I had mine up for sell local and only get offers of 200. It would be easier and safer to just sell it to gamestop.

I put mine up on market and everyone around here only offers 200. I had people offer me as low at 120 if I didn't include the controllers.

Depends on where you live. It isn't fetching that around Evansville, Indiana. I used to buy and sell Iphone 3/4s but anymore, espeically with our murder rate skyrocketing, its just not worth it as much to try to wheel in down with unknowns.

I had the god of war edition with the special controller and PS4 pro, with the game and the original box, was hoping to get $400 for mine as it's a collector's edition. They seem to sell on the popular auction site for about $400 or so but there's a 12% cut - if I could get $350 cash in hand I'd be pretty happy but I wouldn't sell for less. Then again, if I'm JUST trading in the console itself, I can still sell the controllers separately (I have 2, a God of War controller and a Last of Us II controller). What do y'all think?

Maybe sell the console locally with one controller for around $325 cash, start at $350 and see what offers come up. Then sell the extra controller separately. You might get the most money that way.
Fleabay's fees are out of control and with the cost of shipping these days, I am selling less and less on there.

I would just sell on the auction site and then also sell the Last of Us II controller separate. That's the easiest path to straight up cash. Gamestop console trade-ins require one controller, cables, and the console; they won't just take the console itself.

Edit: Come_up_for_air's post above is a better choice.

I have 2 ps4 pros collecting dust; May just trade them in for store credit and wait until the ps5 comes in stock.

I managed to sell my ps4 pro this past summer for 350 on facebook marketplace with an extra controller. I really expected to get someone to haggle down to 325, but i got what i asked for. I managed to get a ps5 from the walmart releases.

I did this for the PS5 on launch day. I regret it. Now I have a hole in my collection.
Why do you say that? Aren't all PS4 games playable on PS5?

I'm still bummed about them having to charge sales tax now, although I understand why they have to, because it was totally a loophole. But a loophole that helped sellers, because it was an effective 6-10% discount for buyers that didn't cost the seller anything.

Can you still use trade it credit to buy certain gift cards? I don't see ps5 sitting in stores until early 2022.

I think I'm going to do this. Will sign up to be a Pro member before taking it in.

After clicking the link it says it expires today? Is that correct?

I've never done a system trade-in before. Does the trade-in require anything other than the unit itself?
