Code does NOT work for thin or stuffed crust.

$1 off isn't too bad. Not enough to make me buy it asap though
Lets pretend that people who troll sd fast food posts w health criticisms really invest in their health.
Quality varies quite a bit. The base ingredients are similar, but most of the locations are franchises, and corporate doesn't seem to be super fussy about uniformity of food. Things like mixing the sauce correctly and cooking the right amount of time make a big difference. Also, hot-n-ready means that lazy store managers might let them sit in the heat rack for too long, which absolutely can dry them out.

If you've never been excited about being able to buy a 5 dollar pizza, then count yourself lucky. I've had multiple times in my life where it absolutely made my day to get one of these, and there could be again.

Every high volume pizza restaurant has to do things in large quantities. A large bin for sauce will need to be placed where it can be worked with. The bin may touch the floor but they are not scraping the sauce off the floor and back into the bin.
I have many of these same bins at home as I like to buy like a proper SD'er and save money on bulk. I also cook a ton. May also be because at one time I owned a pizza restaurant.

In order to make dough, many of the chains have a 40+qt mixer.. the problem comes when you only have one employee on shift to make dough and the 40qt mixer with dough is extremely heavy for most people not to mention the 9-15 min mixing time.. I did mine differently by hiring 1 guy to make dough and using a 25qt VCM that can turn flour and ingredients into workable dough in under 2 min. Smaller batches so 1 person could handle it.

As for LC, like anything. Everyone has a market. If I have to feed some people working on my house, LC for $5 fits in quite nicely. Hungry ppl rarely complain when its free to them.
Why would you ever feed people working on your house? I've had contractors for years and years and I've never fed anyone. They all go out for lunch. If I fed them greaseball pizza, they'd probably construct things not to code on purpose. Either give them time off to go eat what they want or feed them something healthy.

The Little Caesars near me magically stopped allowing on-line ordering; you have to call it in, so I'm sure you don't get the discount.

I've done mystery shops of little Caesars for several years now buying only "hot n ready" pizzas (over 100 in the last two years) and I have found that if you put a little butter in a pan, and reheat the pizza, it improves it ten thousand percent.

Recently they began selling something called a crazy calzony, and it's really quite good. I reccomend giving it a try. Ymmv
My expectations of a $5 pizza are for a $5 pizza. That being said I feel like I'm getting a really solid deal when the pizza is hot and fresh but as soon as it gets cold it kind of transforms into a soggy slice of microwaved yoga mat with imitation cheese. It's not good when it's cold.

Agree 100%. Grew up outside Detroit. Great little Caesar pizza. Moved to Maryland and found a few. Not nearly as good.
Hey EagerActivity920,
I can recommend a place in MD! The best pizza I have ever had was from Ledo's in College Park, Maryland! You have to try their pizza. Their pepperoni slices were as thick as 1/2" and were non-uniform in size which leads me to believe that was hand cut not packaged machine sliced pepperoni. Don't mean to be obsessive but I grew up in Queens and currently live in Brooklyn, New York so I'm a little particular about my pizza.

If you asked Bush if he could name the band who happens to sing the song in his adage mashup. Would he know it was The Who? My guess is no just sings along to the radio while driving his pickup!

If you want a taste of the old school Little Caesars, ask them to make a regular pizza with the toppings below the cheese.

When was it like this? I'm a LC fanatic and don't really remember it ever being like that, and I'm 37.

The round stuffed crust never went away as far as I know, I think the deep dish stuffed crust may have gone. Just got a stuffed crust last week!
And I am, in fact, pretty darn healthy Grin

If it's not one of my favorite frogs!

For our Little Caesars, they only tease me with stuffed crust a few weeks out of the year. Weeping

When I want stuffed crust I slice open the crust and stuff it with some motz myself... put it on the pizza stone at 450 for 7-8 minutes and it's great. I actually like it this way better than when they do it because some of the cheese will bleed out and brown on the stone.

But if you don't have any motz on-hand, sacrifice a slice and you can stuff 3-4 other slices with it. Wink
Whoaaa...I have never thought to do that. I have some mozzarella balls that I could probably jam into the crust and it would taste good. Ooooh.
Quote from ObsiBerithos :
All about that pretzel crust and stuffed crust! It'll come back around at some point. Always does. My family also finds the pizza appetizing to a moderate degree.

I missed out on the pretzel crust and I was so mad! I really wanted to try that so I'm hoping that comes back soon.

Little Caesars has gone too far down the hill. Used to be fairly good, when they were primarily two mediums or larges for price of one. Last try was a few years ago. Makes our local, lousy, Pizza Hut, seem like Lombardi's. Both bad, though. I've resigned myself to stepping up just because when I want pizza, I want a good one, even if it's double price or more. Pretty sure you have a great, neighborhood pizza joint. Better to support them. You need a cheap pizza, do a homemade or a premade or jiffy crust.

If you know how to order it, it's still pretty good. I always get a deep dish, one half pepperoni and one half cheese, and I ask for it cooked well/extra. This makes it nice and crispy and the cheese looks fantastic!

Ray's? Famous Ray's? Original Ray's? Original Famous Ray's? ???
The best pizza in NYC is Di Fara, followed by Lucali. Other fantastic spots on the East Coast are Sallys/Frank Pepis in New Haven Conn, and Pizza Regina and Santarpios in Boston.

Why would I keep my comments to myself? I actually you know, clicked on this deal? You're the attention-seeking little twerp who's still here despite not being interested in it. Somebody get you a pulpit and loudspeakers so you can further remove doubt of being a fool.

A casual observation. There are millions of healthy eaters who don't post online. I discovered those that do (like you) are either really narcissists or simply desperate to for attention. It never was about helping somebody else. You posted no nutritional information and offered no alternatives. You're only here to judge or "prove" you're better than somebody else. It was about "me me me." I'm wondering what happened for one to be that pathetic. I thought about venturing to guess that you were dropped on your head as a kid, but that's an insult to people who actually were dropped on their heads.
