Seems like a solid price for the size. I recently bought the Massimo one from Costco and it's legit. Was $289 for the 40 quart. Almost went with the larger capacity, but I liked the size of the 40

I bought this one cuz the massimo at costco was out of stock 4 weeks after I ordered. People suggested I call in and talk to csr to order at sale price, they wouldn't budge so I bought this one.. works good. Pair it with a battery pack, last 10 hours in the summer heat with the battery. No I dont have to rush home to put stuff away.

I use this on SUV and as a spare fridge for back yard bbq. It is pretty tall, I would like the shorter flatter ones but those are hard to find. ie I can't open the door all the way in the trunk. have to pull it out. Do wish for wheels to help carry.. or a telescope handle. Can probably retrofit it if theres a kit.

4 year warranty with Costco card purchase. Wheels and handle make it easier to move for the weight. I like the design and good reviews on Costco.

How well does the freezer work on these type of units? I was tempted to buy one to transport frozen stuff instead of buying dry ice but I read that it takes 3 hours to get to temp.

Mine took about 1-1 1/2 hours to get below freezing from 80 degrees. 2 degrees was the coldest mine got with an internal measuring thermometer that is probably not to accurate.

Thanks for posting. I'm in for one. This unit has really good reviews on the RV pages. I like the dual zone freezer fridge option.

I've been watching this same product for years to see if Amazon will drop the price to this level. I never expected Costco will pop out of nowhere with prices I can no longer refuse, not to mention it solved my dilemma of getting rid of $40 membership sign-up bonus coupon that was becoming obsolete due to coupon's expiration date.
I'm sure these are pretty much identical, other than door hinge location. So far, I'm glad to own it, far superior in performance than thermoplastic freezer.

surrounding temperature at 35 degree Celsius, 6-8 hours to drop compartment temperature to 0 degree Celsius.

I'm convinced that this one has far superior insulation than those economically priced apt/dorm size freezer, judging by the energy usage. But then, my old GE Profile full size refrigerator (28 cb ft) consumed a lot less energy than miniature size refrigerator that is no more than 6 cu-ft..
