I was checking for pge California..can we get rebate without installation or is it mandatory to be installed?

It looks like you can install it yourself. They want you to install it, activate it, then connect it to the internet.

While that may be true, the power companies in Az do this too... But there is a clause that says you CAN override their peak changes manually. But yes read the fine print

Don't do it. This gives Electric Companies the power to control your thermostat and change the temperature during peak usage times.

In my monopoly market, PGE requires you to enroll in a Time of Use Plan to get your rebate. But on this third party site it does not mention this. The time of use plan charges you different rates depending on the hour of the day.

I am reluctant to deal with these idiots trying to get my $100 rebate based on this third party site not informing you of this.

hard to stomach a $50 Nest thermostat in Georgia when you can get the same thing for $1 in many other states. Thanks for always being behind, Georgia. TU and repped though, OP.
