Funny! The reviews are top notch. I have a bunch of these, and have never had any problems. It's a simple "Switch"! I'm buying more, and don't even need them!
This reminds me...my wife asked me the other day if I had a Y to split the connection from the wall to two different laptops in her office
(in for one)
Have had one running 24/7 for two years. Got a ps5, tv, receiver, pc and when my buddy comes over to lan, his ps4 pro running with no issues. Great buy at $12.

So do switches go bad after a while? I have a 16 port and may want to upgrade to a 24 port as I am running out of ports. I am also seeing some pausing and I am not sure if it is the dal service or my switch to the wireless routers.
This 8 port for $18 is not bad if you need more. NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS308) - Home Network Hub, Office Ethernet Splitter, Plug-and-Play, Silent Operation, Desktop or Wall Mount https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PFYM...430V?psc=1

Can you daisy chain these? Have one already next to my router that connects a bunch of devices but also provides a line to the 2nd floor. Can I get another to add a couple more devices on that floor?

Yep you can daisy chain - just plug and play and no fudging with settings. Get the 8 port TL-SG108 if you think you will be adding more devices in the future, and use your current switch for the 2nd floor.

You can but I'd recommend against it. Rather spend some extra money to replace your switch with one with the number of ports you need. You'll end up with things like bottlenecks and degradation.

What's the difference between this and the "enhanced edition" ?
In this switch you can't change settings or anything. The easy smart switches you can log into the switch and change options and settings: https://www.tp-link.com/us/busine...tl-sg105e/
