Deal Details
At in-store Wireless Center only. Bring your own GSM cell phone, activate it with T-Mobile, and get a $300 Costco shop card. Expires this Thursday, Sept. 23. Limit 2 per account. Via online redemption using the form(s) they provide; allow up to 14 weeks processing. All lines must be active and in good standing when rebate is processed.

I BYOD'd 2 phones, to net a $600 Costco rebate. (Only a little less than the Costco/TMo iPhone 13 promo for a $720 rebate, but my current phones are working fine, thank you.)

QA note: Deal is in store only Costco Locator [costco.com]

What is the cheapest postpaid plan that works for this promotion? Can I port it out after getting the Costco card?

Remember, it would take at least 14 weeks from the time of submission for the card to arrive. So, don't fish for a cheap line just to get $300.

Agreed. I would think of it as needing to commit to 4 months of service with T-Mobile, and hence the question of what the cheapest plan is for this promotion...

I don't know what all the TMo plans are, but I opted for the one they call Magenta 55+ (must be age 55 or over). $70/month for 2 lines including taxes and fees. There is a cheaper plan called Essentials 55+ which is $55/month *plus* taxes and fees, so it didn't seem attractive. Summary of 55+ plans:

This is byod. You're bringing your own unlocked phone. The cheapest I saw last week was get two lines and the 3rd is free.

Mine was exactly 12 weeks or maybe less. I just got it yesterday.
I did the redemption July 1 and got it September 20th.

Yeah can this be a new account opened at their kiosk? Do you need to port a number from a different carrier?
