My understanding and experience has been that if it's something that you specifically want to absorb into the ground (fertilizer, pre emergent, grub control, lime, etc.) granules is fine. If it's something that you need to stick to or absorb into leaves (herbicides, insecticides, etc.) concentrate spray with surfactant will get best results.

Unless you never leave home and want it delivered than maybe this makes it a deal?

On a serious note, if you are using this because the bugs are coming into your home, take time and figure out where they are coming from and seal it up.
