Even their new products work like trash and eat batteries for breakfast and totally unreliable so I would not touch these. .

Also some sort of extra protection had to be enabled within 30 day of adding the but you are never prompted - only find out if you happen to navigate around setting.

"Tiles must be registered for Basic Reimbursement within 30 days of activation."

They know you own the tile, should not need to add this extra hidden step.

Shady practices, shit products. Would not recommend.

With Apple releasing their AirTags. I can already see Tile bankruptcy in the future. I wouldn't be surprised if Google bought out Tile to start developing their own AirTag.

Long time Tile and Android user here. I am really tempted to buy a few of these but with the Airtag, it just doesn't make much sense. I think it's well worth the extra $ to get the much larger Apple ecosystem to track your valuables. I may have to bother my wife now and again whenever I lose my keys, but it's worth the hassle!

I'm pretty much over Apple's $$$ ecosystems, last iPad for me, gone to Android tablets, phones. The Apps, OS may not be as slick, but the price vs value, well Beta was better then VSH, but VSH won out. RISC was better then CISC, CISC won, again price vs value.

2016 version price is great. But the battery from 2016 could die at anytime.

How could the battery possibly still be good on a 2016?

Last time I got this, they canceled my order.

Quote :
Thank you for getting back to us regarding your Tile order. Let me clarify this for you!

I sincerely apologize that this order SOXXXXXX of yours had been canceled without your authorization. As per thorough verification, this is due to the overwhelming demand for this current promotion. No worries, these orders' charges will be refunded back to your account.

On the other hand, there should be no charges happening in your account as this order has been closed on our end. I appreciate your understanding on this matter.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Last September also. Hopefully it goes thru this time.

You need to be in Apple ecosystem for the Air tag. No equivalent option for Android users.

I also wonder how these are legal if I can use to track my neighbors movements without his knowledge.

I want to know that too. Had tile ever since it came out. Was bogus when the battery was irreplaceable in the beginning, switching to airtags. Only reason I would buy is for their tile slim for the wallet. So, I had the same qs. Regarding battery life on that old tile system as it's still not replaceable for tile slim.

Longtime Tile user, switched to AirTags as soon as they were released. I miss using my keys to find my phone. All of my old Tiles sit in key trays and spare change bowls around the house to use as phone finders.

Battery lifetime is determined primarily by discharge-charge cycles (though there are a few other contributing or causal factors). A five or six year old never used and properly stored battery could readily perform as good as new.
