I would respectfully disagree. I have five Ryobi tools, a brushless reciprocating saw, a driver, a drill, a pole saw, and a hedge trimmer. All five worked flawlessly and I have no complaints especially after the four amp hour battery that came with one of the tools, I don't remember which one. Concerning your comment on the reciprocating saw, have you ever used one before? I don't mean to be disrespectful but you have to keep whatever you're cutting as close to the guard as possible. That will dampen the vibration that you're talking about. The one I have absolutely gives me no problems.

This a great deal. I payed $200 for the 6 piece set a year ago and it has been perfect for a first time homebuyer. The drill hasn't missed a beat for installing shelves, pictures, garage stuff, etc. The multi tool has been a godsend for drywall work/patches and even the flashlight has been great for a couple of power outages. I've also expanded and got a trimmer/blower to eliminate mixed gas and couldn't be happier with the investment.

I bought it during the May sales event as well and the circular saw worked perfectly to rip 1/2 inch sheets of ply. Didn't try it on 2x4 though. I bought the jigsaw and it wasn't doing a great job of cutting, but after I replaced the blade with a Diablo, it worked flawlessly.

Just asking... With the recip saw issues and vibrating and movement, was that compared to a different brand/model? That can happen with any one and also the multi tool. It's not as much a problem with a jig saw because the base surrounds the blade providing more stability. If the thing being cut or the entire saw can vibrate or move, specially branches and such, you get what you describe.

Took me 5 minutes to make 5 cuts of 2x4s. Flashlight is useless anyway. Did not even try using drills. This is not even worth 200$.. Maybe 100 for everything...

Anyone use the impact driver? Powerful enough drive lag bolts through a double rim joist?

Decent set for the homeowner who occasionally needs power tools. Flashlight is pretty much worthless compared to competition. Circular saw uses only a 5.5" blade which limits usage to trim pieces and other thinner type wood. Cordless glue gun works great for occasional usage and heats up fast. Ryobi's bigger hot glue gun is needed for the bigger projects obviously. Drill is a good one, heavy but quality made. Cannot comment on the recip and Multi tool as mine are Dewalt and Milwaukee M12. Overall you can't go wrong purchasing this set for homeowner purposes especially since larger 4.0 battery is given in the set.

I own two of the P235 impact drivers and they'll easily drive 3/8 lags through a double rim. Use that included 4Ah batt for longer run times.

You must be really weak if the recip saw was vibrating too much for you when cutting <1" twigs
