Regarding the WI-Fi Card, it can be either Intel, Realtek or Mediatek as per Lenovo Platform specification. However, looks like most of the North American models are coming with Realtek module. I did check some of the models for USA in Lenovo Psref page and all are having Realtek Wi-Fi 6 Card.

Lenovo Platform Spec: https://psref.lenovo.com/Product/...y=&se=true

Regarding the Display, I haven't found any review of the AMD Version but the review of the Intel version which uses the same 300-nits 1200P display, is available in Notebookcheck.net. The Display has a max brightness of 330 nits with average of 303 nits. It has very good black value, resulting a superb contrast ratio over 1300:1.
It has very good color gamut coverage of 99% sRGB, and around 72% DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB. The color accuracy is also very solid, just 2.2. Also, it does not have any PWM to control the brightness.

Now, before people started shouting about the outdoor visibility, this laptop is perfectly usable comfortably in outdoor or any brightly lit environments unless you're not facing the sunlight directly.
Below is the quote from Notebookcheck:
Quote :
It is no problem to use the X13 G2 outdoors thanks to the matte panel. You can even see the content in very bright environments as long as you avoid direct sunlight.
PANEL Details:
  • BOE NV133WUM-N61
  • Maximum: 333 cd/m² Average: 310.3 cd/m²
  • Minimum: 3.5 cd/m²
  • Brightness Distribution: 89 %
  • Center on Battery: 319 cd/m²
  • Contrast: 1333:1 (Black: 0.24 cd/m²)
  • ΔE Color 2.7 | 0.59-29.43 Ø5.5, calibrated: 0.9
  • ΔE Greyscale 4.1 | 0.64-98 Ø5.7
  • 71.1% AdobeRGB 1998 (Argyll 2.2.0 3D)
  • 99.7% sRGB (Argyll 2.2.0 3D)
  • 71.1% Display P3 (Argyll 2.2.0 3D)
  • Gamma: 2.24

LPDDR Rams are always soldered and 16GB is perfectly enough for laptps of these kind.

X1 Carbon is a bit slimmer and light weight than X13 series but also lacks these kind of port selection. But this may be still slimmer and lighter than your 1st Gen Carbon.

Is the x13 shell made of the same carbon fiber composite as the original x1? Also, is this chip equivalent to the i5 or i7?

That's a lot of coin for this if it is just 300 nits. Wouldn't the anti-glare make it a bit worse as well?

The Ryzen should clearly love the speedy RAM available to it. From notebookcheck:
The dual channel memory controller supports DDR4-3200 and energy efficient LPDDR4-4266 RAM.

edit: so THINKSEPT is 40% off and
THINKBIGDEALS is 50% ?

Anyone check other Thinkpads?

Yeah, at this price range, display should be 400 nits or higher
