Try ordering and checking out via their App. That way you can double-check the order, and pay only after promo applies. Hence, when you get to the store, the staff just has to hand you the order without 'checking' any promos.

$hit here in AL it's very common for fast food places not to be able to open the lobby because they don't have enough staff to work it. I mean VERY common. Everywhere here has help wanted signs and are offering sign on bonuses. Even most sit down restaurants only have about half the tables open because there's not enough wait staff. It's crazy.

It is up to 20oz, but I do recommend trying this promo during the morning time. Anything pass 12pm is always a hit or miss, because by then a lot of the promos Starbucks offers are not available anymore.

I think they meant they might or might not even be open depending on if the staff showed up to work or not…that's how ours is. Then what would happen if they ordered via the app before they got there and the store was closed they would just be out their money and drink…I don't think think they can update hours on the app on the fly so it shows open even if closed. I got burnt that way once on a Starbucks order.

The line at the Starbucks near me is always so long to start with, I can't imagine what it's going to be like with free coffee. Hard pass. I'll drink my 18¢ K-cup and save way more than that in gas.

I was thinking the same thing…all of our local coffee stores have stopped allowing people to bring in their own cups. How much could they be saving by forcing you to bring your own cup??? Crazy…

WOW! I had no idea that was a possibility 😳 I live in Los Angeles, and a "staff" issue is unheard of here.

Here is Los Angeles ppl drink their coffee outdoors and use the free Wifi 🙂 I do that often since I have to study whenever I have time. While there are a few ppl who don't want to take the trip, there is also others who are "stopping by" anyway, might as well try one of the offers.

I believe the intention is not just saving money, it's more to limit the one-time use cups.

But it is advertised on their website? So they have to honor it. Idk about last year, but we are doing better now.
