Intel Core i5 11th Gen 1135G7 2.4GHz Processor
1080 Full HD Anti-glare IPS LCD Touchscreen
8gb DDR4-3200 (soldered)
256gb SSD

Looks like a decent price for a decent specs laptop, a bit on the heavy side at ~3.7lbs

Otherwise it's not bad

Its literally listed nowhere I can find but I can tell you its actually a pretty decent display - its listed elsewhere @ 300 nits for brightness and the screen is better than others listed @ 45% NTSC based on my limited usage in store. Its actually decently bright and vibrant. I ended up going with the zenbook 14 with ryzen 5500u and mx450. I gave up a little nicer and larger screen for more power in a slightly smaller package. Also for some reason I just cant get used to lenovo's key shape.

I went in thinking to pick up the ZenBook but ended up with this Lenovo. Does the ZenBook get hot as bad as other mentioned in the other thread? Or it's just fine for non-game general purposes?

Here is a detailed spec sheet from Lenovo Wink IdeaPad,IdeaPad 5 15ITL05,Model:82FG00VMUS (lenovo.com) [lenovo.com]

Fine for most, but the Ram is not upgradable.

I have The ideapad 5 Pro and love it, while it is an entirely different beast, I hope these turn out half as good or better. OF course it was twice the price.

Be careful. There are quite a bit of reviews that talked about broken hinge on a similar model on Costco website (except 16gb vs 8 gb).

i have a thinkpad that is 7 years old and a c330 chromebook, both are going very strong, based on my past experience, I guess I just have to gamble on this one.

You can't compare ThinkPad vs ideapad, completely different product line. I even read a few of the ideapad 3 on Costco which has a similar chassis and they also mentioned bad hinges.

Considering NTSC 45%, that usually translate to pretty bad sRGB, probably 70%ish?

8 GB soldered ram makes or break these type of laptop. CPU these days are powerful enough to last probably 3-5 years but applications and website just keep getting more and more bloated. 8 GB is fine for now but def not in 3 years probably.

for regular use, no issues whatsoever - for gaming, definitely gets hot. with gefore optimized settings in gta 5 it gets hot but it also cools down quickly and I havent noticed any thermal throttling during gameplay. BOTW on CEMU doesn't heat it up nearly as much though.

Is 5500u trally more powerful than i5 1135g7?
