This is a huge YMMV, as I think only one city in the nation has att fiber.

We had fiber laid in our neighborhood a few months ago. We let a few neighbors go first and when they reported no issues we dumped Xfinity and went with the Gig speed.
Tethered I'm getting in the 930's down and 920's up - for the same price as Xfinity was charging for ~250 to 270 Mbps max.
