I would still take the opinion of a vet over someone with no knowledge of animal health at all.

The WSAVA guidelines for brands include things like "Do they employ a nutritionist". Purina passes the test, but Blue Buffalo and similar brands do not.
What is your brand of choice? And are they on the WSAVA approved list?

They are added micronutrients that your cat would get sick without. Read the ingredients list on a box of cereal, it will look very similar, because it also has added micronutrients. You shouldn't be scared of words you don't understand.

Below average food.

Rice in cat food = garbage filler. Beer, too (see Budweiser).

Even better price with the extra 25% off first subscribe and save.

Not impressed with the ingredients and only feed fish a couple times per week, with a large stash of fish flavors stocked up... so passing on this one.

Nevertheless, thanks for posting OP!

Same, and the coupon is multi-use for me. I've got three S&S orders in with the coupon and it still shows on the product page.

For the most part I don't care what's in it as long as my cat eats it . If all the ingredients were so-called natural no one could afford to buy the stuff.

Your cats are eating filler with no nutritional value. So, you are essentially buying more food than you need because much of the filler in this goes undigested. The cat needs more of it. And some of these ingredients are reported to cause health problems.

Eating > Starving

My cat won't touch high quality food like Tiki Cat.

What food would you recommend to feed stray cats?

I'm guessing you're thinking about ferals, not stray former housepets that should be rescued.

Grocery store fare: Crave. Even some Blue Wilderness that is at least average.

Beyond that, anything without crap ingredients and are at least average nutrition. Petco and Chewy often have introductory S&S deals that wise SDers cancel after the first shipments.

Note that feral cats are also likely catching and eating small animals and birds, so are getting meat from that. (I suggest linking up with a local spay/neuter and release group to lower the number of them.)
