    • Rtings gives the Sony A80J series TVs a rating of 8.8 for Mixed Usage:
      • "The Sony A80J is an excellent TV for mixed usage. It performs well in dark rooms, whether gaming or watching movies, thanks to its near-infinite contrast ratio. It also has a nearly instantaneous response time, so motion looks clear in fast-moving content like sports or video games. It doesn't get overly bright for HDR, but HDR content still looks amazing due to its OLED panel and wide color gamut."

As a 900H owner, I'm not sure I trust Sony to deliver anything in a future update.

This TV is very similar to the LG C series OLED. LG comes with two more HDMI 2.1 ports and VRR. Although I believe Sony said VRR would come to this TV in a future software update.

Thumbs up OP!

And if you're the type of person who may use the speakers occasionally, the Sony is supposed to have "better" audio.

Is the 65" still panel lottery, or they all come with the new Evo panel now?

$2899 is the best I've got so far. I countered at $2650 and waiting to hear back.

Yep, just they have CJ instead of J in the model name. Are these their good line of OLEDs?

I hear Sony TVs cannot remember which HDMI source was being used last. They always start with android tv as the default source. Is that the case with this TV too?

It might not be an issue for some who use android tv as their default tv UI. But it could be irritating for some who'd want to use external systems like Roku, Apple TV or Xbox.

The A90J is the current top-of-the-line OLED model. According to reviews, it can get slightly brighter than the A80J, but to me it's not worth the extra $. For OLED, A80J (or A80CJ) seems like the sweet spot.

Its a crime to use the speaker sin any thin panel nowadays. Get a soundbar or speakers, the stock audio on any tv is irrelevantn. Also this panel is made by lg. So its the same tv for both companies and sony jus tmakes the audio and video chips for their tv.
