I bought mine back in November for $145, took it out of the box and it seems to be very high quality. Still haven't got to use it though, been remodeling a house and it's honestly depressing to see it at a lower price. It feels like I payed $5 for layaway at my own house.

I'd appreciate any quick advice. I haven't bought a table, been waiting for a deal. Is this compatible with many tables and is it best to buy this + a cheaper table or a nicer table without this? Budget around $300-$500 total.

If this is too good to pass up, then I'll just buy now and think later.

It's right on the product page..
"This model is designed for use with Porter Cable 690/890, DW 610/616/618, Bosch 1617/1618, or any other routers with 3.5" diameter motors."

That's a tough question to answer as there's a lot of variables here. This particular router lift only works with certain PC, Dewalt and Bosch routers so it depends on what router you plan to use for this router lift. As for the table itself, you have a lot of options. Are you looking for a stand alone table or one that doubles as a wing to your table saw? I chose the table saw wing option as space is a premium for my workshop. But you can get a nice table for $200 if you were to buy this router lift (there's a good Jessem phenolic router table being sold by the same place that's a good price or even a Kreg router table would work).

Good luck with your decision!

Internet tells me this should fit in a Bosch RA1181. Worth the upgrade? I have a Dewalt DW618, so height adjustment is a huuge PITA

I appreciate the quick reply! I didn't know router table saw wings existed. I'll definitely look into that once I upgrade to a larger workshop. I'm planning to get the Bosch router and do hobby projects out of a garage. My table saw is folding/portable so I can move and cut in the driveway without dust.

Sounds like wings won't work for me so I'll go for a similar on-wheels setup with the router. Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, I think the negative for this lift is that you have to buy the common size insert rings separately.

And at least a $200 difference. This is a perfectly capable router lift for most users.
