I swapped my 2tb into the Pro from my original PS4 when I sold it to my friend, so his console is holding the Pro's former 1tb hdd. This is the only thing keeping me on the fence about trading mines. If anything I could pretend I didn't know the hdd was changed at all.

It didn't make much sense to me neither as I assume digital is attached to the user. But giving that I have never had to transfer systems and the ps4 is first time I did digital copy, so I wanted to make sure before I pull the plug on this deal.

The only problem is finding a next gen console. Microsoft already said there will be low supply on the series X well into 2022. I expect the same for the ps5.
just a heads up if you trade in the psvr, tell them its the non-hdr version... for some reason, that gets more in the system.

They pretty much need all that so they can test it on the spot, they run a software that checks your controller's functionality fairly well so make sure you don't try to trade in some busted controller
