In comparison, these same smaller parts boxes are about 33 cents more than the recent Ace Hardware Front Page and with a 10% military discount, this deal is cheaper for me.
Meanwhile, the list price at Ace for the 8.5" box ($9 today) is also a lot higher than list price at Lowes. They look the same to me.
There are a lot of FrontPage deals with a 20-25% discount from whatever so called list price, so a deal is subjective. Even if they don't need it, some people will buy anything at a perceived 50% off. Perceived because 'list' price varies from seller to seller. That Ace deal was about 55% off their list for the 8.5" box, while this Lowes deal is only about 23% off and yet, close to same price net.
