Are they purchase-able online or have to be in person?
Gift cards like MS, Nintendo, PSN must be purchased in store because the $5 coupon only works for physical items for online purchases (they only sell digital gc online).

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think you can actually use the $5 coupon twice, once in store and then once online (as long as you save the coupon before using it in store)

I got this deal back in July, and it pays for itself right away with the point bonus ($10 worth) and welcome bonus ($5). Then you have the rest of the year to reap the benefits of a Pro membership and monthly $5 coupons. I always use them towards a $10 Nintendo eShop gift card. This is 100% worth it imo

Where do you renew in the app? I am not seeing it. I canceled my auto renew on the website and restarted but didn't see anything about the bonus points?
I just used the link on this thread then added the pro membership from the browser then switch to the app and finished the checkout but think if you wanna do it straight from the app tap on profile >power up rewards > exclusive for pro membership, then scroll all the way down then you can subscribe to pro membership.

My pro is ending 10/18, should I go to the store and renew to get the 10k points bonus?

Higher chance of picking up a next generation console with this membership?
Higher chance but you are basically forced to buy an overpriced bundle. Let's say you want the Ps5 disk version, those go for $720-$780. And you can't return those items to the store. You would have to sell them on your own if you want to recoup any costs. And it's hard to sell a controller since others are trying to sell them from their bundles. I have seen them for $40 on Craig's. I offered one person $30 and he accepted.

I would try the store. I personally purchased it last night online and still don't see the points. Some say it takes around 48 hours for the points to show up but some users here have mentioned they still haven't gotten their points.

So what do you guys think is better.

Stacking these on 1 account and possibly get multiple 10k 'sign up' bonus points but miss out on the multiple $5 monthly points.

Or

Different accounts, several $5 points but only have 1 year access to pro.

I hope I didn't confuse anyone

I did this online a few nights ago. Still no sign of my 10k signup points, nor my first $5 cert to use for this month. Recently I bought a game called Lost Judgment which came with a $10 reward, I had to contact support just to get that issued to me as well once many days had gone by and it was never rewarded as it should have been. I figured this membership would quickly pay for itself and it's the only gaming rewards around these days since GCU ended, but it's clear much of GameStop as a business is a mess right now. There was a game on sale that I wanted, and I figured I'd get these 10k points and $5 monthly reward right away and I'd buy the game. Now I'm willing to bet by the time they get my points straightened out, the sale price on the game will expire and I won't be able to get what I wanted.

As others have also mentioned, the $5 monthly rewards can't stack because they expire, and they also cannot be used to preorder something, they have to be used on something currently in stock. Which is a negative to me, easiest way to make sure the rewards don't get wasted in a month where I might not want anything is to just preorder something that I know I want in the future. I hear PSN cards don't come in anything less than $10, so if you're mainly a PlayStation gamer you can't just get your monthly $5 in PSN credit either unless you add cash to it.

Small print terms about the PowerUp Pro says you can request to cancel/refund your membership within 7 days. I may do that as I am disappointed already. (Oh, also the previous game I bought online had a release date of Friday Sep 24th and I received it Weds the 29th. For a business that caters to gamers, they should know it's not fun to be 5 days behind everyone else who starts playing a game on release day. The package didn't even start moving until Monday after release.)

So I'll be wasting my Monday morning getting on their live chat that is only available on weekdays to ask where all these rewards are. If that doesn't get sorted immediately, I'll be inquiring about the terms of refunding my membership, and if they mess around with that, I'll contact my credit card about the $15 charge I used to join. I recently got a PS5 and figured I'll be buying more physical games because of that and that this would be worth doing, but I'm already frustrated with GS service.
can not agree more. most terrible company in the world

I would sign up in store. That way they will make sure you get your bonus points and certs right away. If you do it online you'll have to wait a few days. I just signed up online last week and it took three days to get my bonuses.

I've been able to double dip a few times since I signed up in July. I always get $5 in MS$/Xbox live gold money in store (usually early to middle of the month) and a couple of times now I've gotten an email reminding me towards the end of the month to use my monthly $5, which I have done for an online order (pick up in store). I've kept a close eye on my rewards points to make sure they aren't sneakily taking $5 out of that and they have not, so I would try to double dip if you can!

You don't get points or certs right away in store either. Points take a few days. The monthly certs go out on the first of the month. The welcome $5 bonus ended on 10/1. To be clear to everyone doing this deal, you do NOT get a cert for the month you sign up. You only get the 10k points ($10), which takes 72 hours to be added to your account.

Why would you want to stack this deal on one account? You pay $15 but breakeven with $10 in points and a $5 certificate; the real deal is the free $5 each month.
