GameStop has the lowest price I've seen for Monster Hunter Rise. Not sure if Black Friday will be any lower, might be good time to buy.

I'm not an expert, but it's probably the most accessible version of Monster Hunter. You're trying to kill or capture different things, upgrade your armor and weaponry. The new feature in the game makes the terrain a lot more accessible and more fun.
EDIT: Maybe you were thinking of Generations or maybe Stories 2 for the mixed opinion?
