Due to how the cellular network works there is NO method to do port forwarding without having to resort to things like vpn or ngrok. ( CG-NAT ) Speeds appear to be good but you won't be accessing your plex server remotely and torrents will be SLOW.

Their 5G gateway aggregates both a 5G signal AND a 4G signal together to give you a higher bandwidth. In my area my 5G signal was stronger than the 4G. -- FameWolf

First off, I've received two gateway receivers from them. The first one seemed to act up a lot, and a lot of the cons are based on the first device. The second one I received seems to have significantly less problems, but YMMV. The gateway device (or 5G grey trashcan as some people call it) is pretty much a modem and a wifi router combined.
PROS:
When configured correctly, speeds can hit up to 270 mbps downloading
Configuring device is pretty simple out of the box
Price is really cheap
CONS:
Speeds fluctuate depending on time of day
If technicians are working on specific towers, my internet can be completely down until it is fixed, which could take up to a day
Changing SSID or SSID PW does not always stick and will reset to default ID and PW
Gateway gets hot sometimes and needs to be restarted for it to work properly. To mitigate the workload, I've connected my own wifi router to the gateway, and used my own router to do the wifi processing. It seems to help a lot in preventing restarts.
There are only 2 lan ports on the gateway, but you can still connect a wifi router to the lan ports and get it to work that way.
Customer service is in India, and sometimes takes a really long time to get to someone. I've had to call multiple times to get something fixed or replaced. It gets frustrating.
RECOMMENDATION:
If you have cable or fios, I recommend sticking to it as the speeds tend to be more reliable. If you're in rural areas but get good speeds with T-Mobile, then it's worth considering to switch. When I first got T-Mobile Home Internet, my area was still having problems with reliable service, and I think it was due to the towers here. However, after the gateway replacement, and probably the tower upgrades, it seems to be a lot more stable now. In the end, it's YMMV based on your towers.
I've had as fast as 400 down.

Is it due to CG-NAT, which it ridiculous...?
TMO has tons on IPv4 available obviously, there in absolutely no need CG-NAT.
IPSec VPN won't work with it, AFAIR.
But it's gotta be a way to opt out of it, right?
I assume IPv6 is available too, but Verizon FIOS and many other ISPs hate it...
Essentially, like reverse tunneling, but without the need to tunnel all of the data, just the handshaking protocol.

So from the get go I've had a fan under and over on mine and it's never had a heat issue.
I also totally disabled the WiFi.
But for rural internet. It is a game changer.
We have both it and starlink. I had been using starlink as my primary, but now I have T-Mobile as primary.
As far as fiber goes. Century link is willing to run it to me. 100 symmetrical quote was over $1000/mo with a 3 year commitment.

Also ping on my phone is 20-60ms (sprint sim). Would it be the same or worse with the router box?
Our ISP is 200x10 for $75, but I do get a low 5ms ping. the 10 up feels too low, but I haven't quite noticed it as a bottleneck yet..

"internet with no data cap, speeds that T-Mobile estimates will be anywhere from 35 to 115 Mbps,
and a router capable of turning 5G and LTE into Wi-Fi (which you'll have to return if you ever cancel the contract-free plan)."
Cool. Seems pretty competitive
