Deal Details
CPU: Intel Core i5 10th Gen 10400F Comet Lake 2.9GHz (4.3GHz Turbo Boost) 6-Core 12-Thread
GPU: ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB
Motherboard: ASUS Prime B560M-A
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaw V series 16GB DDR4 3200MHz (2x8GB)
SSD: 512GB Intel 660P M.2 NVMe SSD
CPU Cooler: RGB CPU Cooler (Brand May Vary)
PSU: 650W 80 Plus Bronze
Case: ASUS TUF Gaming GT301 Mid-Tower ATX Case

For 200 dollars more compared to the Dell XPS deal on the front page, you get the 3060 TI intead of the 3060, which I have read is a 30% improvement in game benchmarks.
The case also has decent reviews on newegg itself as people mentioned it is spacious.

On pcpartbuilder, all the pieces sans the cooler and the power supply come out to around 900 dollars if the 3060 ti is taken at MSRP price of 400 dollars.

good PSU and 3060 Ti is plus but 10th gen i5 for 200 more.
I would prefer 3060 with 11th gen i7 for 200 less any day

Is that because of your specific use case? In terms of gaming, the difference between the cpus won't really give as big an impact as the 3060 vs the 3060ti right? That's why I went with this one instead of the Dell or the Walmart ROG with the AMD 5700G.

you are correct. there may be a few use cases where a i7 11th gen edges ahead. but some of those cheap 11th gen i7 also have crappy motherboards and crappy coolers that will throttle the i7 under heavy load. this build defintely beats the dell for sure normal motherboard and normal psu and a 3060ti the cpu cooler should also be plenty for an 10400. you also get a b560 so you will be able to turn on xmp and get the 3200mhz ram speed

How does this compare with the Newegg deal posted a couple days ago? Looks like the same exact build but $100 less? https://slickdeals.net/f/15291823-abs-master-gaming-pc-intel-i5-10400f-geforce-rtx-3060-ti-16gb-ddr4-3000mhz-1tb-m-2-nvme-ssd-for-1349-99-w-fs?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1

I think the one I posted has more parts with their brands listed, and it has half the storage space as that linnk has a 1 tb ssd compared to 512 gb ssd. Case seems to be a lot better too at least from the new egg reviews of the case this one comes with.

Yep - the i5 ruins this deal in my opinion

my son asked for a PC with faster frame/sec to avoid delays (while playing game). I'm not seeing the frame per second listed here. Can someone break it down for me. Thanks

Hey man. Your son wants a better GPU (i.e. the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti in this PC). "... to avoid delays" seems to me like he plays a lot of CSGO, which doesn't require a good GPU any way, so that is confusing.
Either way, this is a decent deal with a really future-proof GPU (and other components) that will be relevant maybe half a decade or more, with no real upgrades necessary.

The 3060 ti will bottleneck you before the 10400 6c CPU will in 95% of games. Its absolutely not an issue.

I've read conflicting things about ram speeds with the non K cpus, and this one officially supporting 2666. But as far as I can tell with this mobo should have np running ram at 3200, assuming it comes configured to do so. That's the main reason I would be concerned with a deal using the 10400f over 11th gen or -K. I'd be more for gaming, so I understand others would prefer the better CPU for multitasking.

I did look at the motherboard specs from the manufacturer webpage and it says that it can support 3200 mhz ram, however, for higher speeds it has OC appended next to it. I would assume 3200 is no issue here.

Can always sell 10400F going for around $150-180 on Ebay sold listings.

ASUS Prime B560M-A supports newer 11th gen CPUs according to Asus Website.
