I posted the below about the Bella deal yesterday, not realizing I actually have this exact DASH version….

"we have two seasonal ones and they work for the kids but I would not buy this to use regularly. I just made some pumpkin ones and it works decent.

Takes forever to make because the waffles are so small that each kid needs multiple. Can't imagine for adults.

My oldest likes them crunchier and my middle likes them soft like pancakes which are both doable but harder to get the traditional waffle texture.

TIP: i don't do this regularly but for for a special occasion we will die the pancake batter and get a medicine syringe to get the specific color in certain sections. For example I used the medicine dropper to get the stem of pumpkin green, then poured the rest with orange... Came out nice"

May I ask how much batter each pancake requires, and if you only make that enough batter to fill your needs, or it you end up having to store the unused portion? Thanks!

I'm not the person you asked, but I think I can help. The regular fast waffle makers take 1/4 cup batter. I dint have the pumpkin one, but I'd have several other special designs ( spider/skull/heart). Those take about half of a 1/4 cup. Or simpler 1/8 cup.

We are a family of 6 and use at least 2 dash mini waffle makers when making waffles. My kids (5 and 7) will eat two mini waffles or 3 of the design ones. Us and our older son will eat 4 mini waffles. Recently I invested in the one that make 4 waffles. So we use that with a design one. Much simpler and faster.

Thanks, agnosticmayhem, I'm only cooking for myself, so it looks like I'd have a whole bunch of batter to save or dispose of. Shoot, as I was typing this reply, it stuck me to just toss the extras in a container and freeze 'me! Thanks!

They Pumpkin one is also OOS, now. There were two when I hit the [Add to Cart] button, but an error message showed up saying the item is no longer available. Oh, well....

Sometimes we make too much batter. We leave it in the fridge for the next day. Never had issues.
