Can't you just change the setting to Home for free? That's how it was with my last 2 Windows S devices.

Although with only 4gb, it would probably be better in S mode.

No problem it has two slots and thus buy a 4GB SODIMM and you will have 8GB which is generally enough for most people. If you need more buy two 8GB sticks for 16 GB.
