Saucony used to allow you to stack the ID.me discounts with their coupon codes like this one, but I have not had luck with that with the FALL20 coupon.

Anyone here try that and get it to work? I used to love stacking that on top of great deals....

Also... Agree that the Ride is a GREAT daily trainer.

I am interested in buying as they are highly rated. But need for walking purpose only. Can anyone tell if these or any specific model is good for daily walking?? Thanks.

When I gifted a pair of shoes to a relative who has no car and therefore walks everywhere, I got the Ride and the recipient was impressed. I typically get about 400 - 500 miles on the Ride as a runner and then use it a a walker for another one or two hundred miles.

Having said that, if you want to splurge, the Triumph would be a GREAT daily walker. As a runner, I felt the Triumph was a tad heavy (noticeably heavier than the Ride while running) but when I gave up on the Triumph as a runner and just wore it as a day to day walker, they were great. The extra weight cones in the form of great cushioning and also padding on the sides. It is a very plush shoe, but, it also costs more than the Ride, so there is your choice.

Please recommend a pair for me, I got peer pressured into signing up for a half marathon in February and want to start training now. I shuffle run (old man gait). Price does not matter, I do have wide feet.

First, congratulations on signing up for a half marathon. It'll be a fun challenge. Second, you should go get fitted at a reputable running store with knowledgeable staff. Ask your friends which store they go to or running groups in your area (preferably running groups which are not affiliated with a specific store). I've been fitted several times and have not run into any truly bad recommendations, but generally look for local running stores or stores which will analyze your gait. At least not a Footlocker or something like that.

Also, it seems many running stores will allow you to return very gently used shoes for a refund to be used at that store. Don't be afraid to use that and go through pairs of shoes until you find a pair that really works for you. I've known too many people to try and make a shoe work for them when they shouldn't have. Modern running shoes, for the most part, don't really need a "break in" period. So if it isn't working for you after even a moderately low amount of time, I'd go to the next one.

Then, once you have brands or models you like and know you can run in, you can start to buy shoes online for cheaper.
