I like Twinkly lights, but I feel like it makes more sense for your tree and your lights to be separate items.

If the lights stop working, you're now looking at replacing an entire tree, rather than just a string of lights.

Normally I'd agree with you, but with the tree at $260 vs the lights alone at $160, it's worth the risk. I didn't look at the warranty, but even if it only lasts 2 seasons I think it's worthwhile for the time saved (and you'd still have a tree even if the lights fail).

I'm going to need the OP to explain to my husband why I ordered a 7.5 foot tree for the house when he wanted a 9 foot tree. I guess we're getting 2 trees this Christmas! This was actually cheaper than the Twinkly string of 600 lights (without tree) that I was going to use. This is a great deal!
