I guess this is a good deal if you have to have it right now, but they had it for $350 just about a week ago. Think the priced jumped up right after Windows 11 was released.

And hopefully, the price will jump down again next month--Black Friday! Applause

Cpu won't jump until the end of this year. Supply chain in Asia was shut down several month because of a pandemic.

If you only play games, go with 5600X. Otherwise, go with 5900X.
Man 5600x is $300, 5800x on sale is $350.... Unless the 5600x drop below the $250 mark... I think this is a better a deal.

Between Black Friday/cyber Monday deals and the Alder Lake launch I really hope these go down in price!

When do you guys think the 6000 series will come out? I am on a Ryzen 7 2700x, and I am thinking of upgrading, but my 2700x works just fine.

Ryzen 9 5900X is nearly $600. That is a big increase in price from the Ryzen 7 5800X (which is usually a bit under $400). Not sure if the 5900X is worth another ~$200.

Wrong. 5600X on sale is $260 at MC. 300 is MSRP.

You're right. According to this it isnt worth the upgrade.

mid 2022 at the earliest. new socket, and ddr5. Unless 12th gen intel causes massive sales drop, they are not in a rush.

If you have a 4xx mobo, id just get a 5xxx chip. You will see a pretty big uptick in games, and will be able to run your ram at a higher speed. I noticed up to a 50% boost in my 1% fps just going from a 2600x to a 3600, and i could run my ram from 2933 to 3600.

Intel 12th gen leaks have it performing better than Zen 3 for less money, and that launches in under a month. If you dont have an AM4 board, wait a month and either get a better product for less, or Zen 3 for even less as AMD has to cut prices to stay competitive since Zen 4 wont launch until Q4 2022. Rumor has it that the $200 12400 (launching later) will beat the 5600x, the $300 12600k will beat the 5800x, the $450ish 12700k will beat the 5900x, and the $600 12900k will beat the 5950x. F SKUs (no IGP) will be $20-$30 cheaper on top of that.

So yeah, absolutely wait another month and you're pretty much guaranteed to save a large amount of money by waiting another month.
