worth the toll n schlep
they had 3 in stock yesterday, looks sold out now.
had 463 hrs which seemed high, but was less than my buddies cx which he had for less than 6 months.
seems fine, did lose hdmi sync which needed a hard reboot after fw update.
keeping my a80j order from GT and seeing how they stack up...
so the 77 costs me $2k, purchased additional 3 yr MC warranty with screen protection for $300, tossed in another $100 for delivery since I can't squeeze that giant inside my midsize SUV, total about $2500 plus change. (MC sells new 77 A1 for $2700+ btw for anyone who cares)
the MC extended warranty though, is of concern, its own document states:

Television or personal computer monitor screen imperfections, including 'burn in' or burned CRT phosphor, caused by video games, prolonged display of one or more signal(s), or other abuse. All display products that are used in an application that requires continuous and/or business operation unless additional coverage is purchased.
though the wording "implies" that burn-in occurred under "normal TV viewing" condition would be applicable, as assured to me by the sales rep.
well, least I have 30-days to investigate the hell out of this beast to make any further decisions.
I might power through a great game like Horizon, Portal, or God of War in a few days, putting in 16+ hours per day if I get lost in the wonder of some magical experience. As much as I love Aloy, Shell, and Kratos, I'm not keen on seeing how much health they have being superimposed over a sports score hours, days, weeks, or even years later.
While I'm sure permanent burn-in is rare, I have seen it first-hand and can say it is not the lie some claim it to be...unlike the cake.

1. Wow, great deal. I've been waiting for this deal.
2. Not a great deal because a friend of a friend saw a guy on Reddit who got one on Verde Digit for $50 less about 6 months ago.
3. Why isn't the [insert any number] size on sale?
4. It'll be cheaper 1 year from now, so I'm waiting.
5. My living room is actually a tanning bed, so I can't do OLED. It's not bright enough.
6. What's Verde Digit?
Also buying with citi costco card should give you additional 2years warranty, right?
