While I didn't ultimately purchase, I was able to see that this deal was available on the Costco site at the time the deal was live.

I received exactly what I ordered, the chaps were very nice and fit well, the other jeans ran small even though the label said size 36x30 they were tighter than the chaps that were labeled 34x30, the chaps materiel were somewhat stretchable.

Yes

Yes. You must purchase 5 clothing items to receive $25 total discount, or 10 clothing items to receive $60 total discount. Most clothing items at Costco.com are eligible toward the discount, as long as they indicate "Buy select clothing or shoe items for additional savings".

No. It uses a promotion that is only available when ordering from Costco.com

I see this has been answered (no) but at $5 per pair including shipping online, regardless I'd prefer not to wade through the store offerings trying to find 5 pairs in my size. Just sayin'

Yes you can. They will adjust the price of each piece of clothing by a % of the $25 or $60 saved. So there is no reason not to buy 10 items to get $6 off per item (instead of $5 off per item if you buy 5 items) if you are OK returning in-store (or mailing return), especially since you are not sure of sizing (I often buy several sizes and am surprised which one actually fits). The $60 is a bump up -- it was $50 savings for 10 items yesterday, so it's a $1/item bonus today.

This allowed me to buy 5 different styles/colors of jeans for $31.

I'm curious too. I bought a pair of Calvin Klein a few years ago from Costco and one of the best pairs of jeans I've ever purchased (compared to other CK, Armani, Levi's, etc).

Never tried kirkland jeans, are they any good, hold up well? Anyone have experience with them for more than a few months?

I have a pair from Kirkland. Generally speaking they are really good quality and last a really long time. You can be rough and they will still last.
The only caveat is- sometimes the jeans are not fitted and they are boxy a tad.

I probably have 10 pairs in rotation currently, and for the price they are great. They certainly don't hold up like Levis or similar (Denim not as sturdy). The fail points are usually the button closure or thinning fabric in crotch/knee areas. I would guess I get 100-150 wears and 40-50 washes out of each pair. What I like about them is they fit my "Skinny with a Belly" build fairly well, and they are so affordable I don't even mind using a new pair for yard work.

Whoever is that model must have had a bad day as their disposition looks defeated.
