I have been using a full cover screen protector since I got my 13Pro. I felt no difference in face ID operation and it is just as fast. Selfies are also no different with that screen on.

Its just a matter of look I guess as a full front screen cover gives it a more original look as if there are no covers. I have used cutoff screens before and I like the look of a full cover better.

If there is no white circle on the back of these transparent covers, it is not going to work well with the magsafe chargers. Without the magnets embedded in the cover itself, there is not enough strength of the iphone magnets to hold the phone in place with a cover on. It might charge your phone alright but will not be stable and comes off with little force.

I had a sub $10 case and glass screen protector on my iPhone X for 3+ years w/no issues. Dropped the phone a couple of times, but not from very high, and usually get my foot under it to prevent a hard surface drop.
It was in perfect condition when I traded it in my my 13 Pro.
I got another sub $10 case and glass screen protector which I expect to be good enough to keep this phone in perfect shape.

Because it works. Been using quality but cheap clear case from Amazon for the past 15 years and had absolutely no issue. The brand doesn't really matter, I used everything from Luvvitt, Haweel, urlhasbeenblocked, Anker, ESR and they all work fine. They are just drop protection and I have yet to have a cracked screen or back from using these cheaper case. Since they are so cheap, I can keep buying them if they yellow or if I don't like their design.

The ones I do like, I buy an extra for backup. It's $3.5-$7 each. Just returned my iPhone XS Max that I have been using for 3 years to ATT for their $1,000 credit and they accepted it no problem. No need for screen protector, just a cheap case. I probably dropped this phone 8-10 times. Not from a great height mind you but the random slip from my hand to the floor etc.
