Amazon also has an Epic Daily Deal for a 16" Ego Power+ CS1604 chainsaw w/ 5.0 Amp battery and charger for $269. I went this route as I need a 5 amp battery and could use a chainsaw more than another blower (I already have the 530).

What are the flaws with the 530?
Big nozzle so the spread is not as directed and doesn't come with the attachment.

Update: Contacted Ego CS, and they confirmed that Amazon is an authorized retailer. You must purchase from the official Ego Power+ Amazon Store (i.e. sold and shipped by Amazon.com LLC), not a third party seller and register your purchase on the Ego support site.

So is Amazon an authorized retailer? I see they have an official Ego store, but didn't see them listed as an authorized dealer on Ego's website.

I get that this is a good deal with the larger battery, but is this thing heavy? My wife wants to be able to use it in the yard. I was considering the 615 model with the lighter 2.5ah battery instead.

I'm new to Ego but want to get the mower eventually and possibly the snow blower, so I will have other uses for the 5ah battery.
It is somewhat heavy. It takes some getting used to. But it's much better than the smaller Ryobi as far as power. That thing feels like using a hair dryer. But if you have a bigger leaf job, this is not the best. Battery only lasts so long. Maybe the 650 that's mentioned here would be the best choice.

For the right yard, your wife will love the mower. Easy push button start, sharp cut, lightweight, no fumes. Overall great for people who don't like messing with gas or oil changes.

Wow I bought this for 100bucks from home depot about a year ago with battery and charger
Thats because HD got rid of EGO brand from their stores. It was a massive sell off at every store at rock bottom prices. I got a snow blower for $250, lawnmover for $225, back pack, blower for $165, and multi-head edger for $80 all with batteries. We will never see prices like that again for EGO unless LOWES or ACE do the same thing.

This is a 5ah battery, not 2.5ah like you probably have.

I always use the blower with 5ah battery. 2.5 is too small for a blower and won't last long. I only use the 2.5 on my string trimmer or edger.

It is heavy with the 5ah battery though so it won't be comfortable to use for extended periods of time like blowing a big yard of leaves.

You can purchase a shoulder strap thall take the weight off your arms or upgrade when there is a deal by buying the backpack blower instead

Would appreciate any opinions, I just picked up the Greenworks 80v 730 CFM Costco model that includes two 2AH batteries for $218 and my goal is to add more outdoor tools, with my next planned purchase being a cordless hedge trimmer.

For someone just getting into outdoor tools, which is the better system to start with, EGO 56v or Greenworks 80v? I am thinking in terms of performance, weight, support, and longevity?

I strongly prefer the 530 CFM Ego over the Costco greenworks one.

They had about the effective output; however, the ego has a longer battery life and better balance

Been using a 530 for a couple years and never noticed. Seems to work great. Got it and a trimmer with bat and charger for $199 from HD. All new, not refurb...

I have a lot of Ego products and love them. I am not familiar with Greenworks. You probably won't find a lot of people with both brands.

Compare the following of both product brands:

Ergonomics
Do they have the tool you want or need
Warranty
Power

It does not come with the nozzle but by the looks of it neither does this model so I guess only the 650 does? When I purchased my 530 in 2019 it came with the 2nd gen 2.5 battery with no power monitor. 1st Gen was a 2.0 battery and this is a 5.0 with power monitor which is nice to have if you are planning to walk far away from the garage and need to see how much juice you have left prior to switching out batteries or the dreaded recharge.

Nozzle makes a big difference for moving leaves on grass:

Ego makes the best leaf blowers. I only have the 530 and it moves everything the air touches. My dad came over with his gas powered blower to help out with fall leaves, he kept thinking his blower was having issues as the performance was terrible compared to mine... he know owns an Ego blower and got rid of his gas one.

Also, Ego compared to Ryobi, green works, etc is no competition. I watch neighbors use the other battery brands and it barely moves debris around. My 530 Ego shoots stuff across the driveway, patio, and yard.
