True. I wear polyester shirts a lot because I like them better on the outside. I don't have this problem though because I always wear a cotton undershirt. Otherwise yes they'll smell.

"Shirts with darts have a slimmer backside, and look better."

But that's just like, your opinion, man.
Some of us prefer a loose fit for casual wear. I avoid tapered and darted shirts. To each their own.
