For people who have an Amazon Visa you get more back in rewards than if you buy from Costco without a Costco Visa (and their even longer warranty with that card). So basically it's down to which (if either) you have and to an Amazon cardholder whether the additional year of warranty coverage is worth the almost $40 price difference. Each buyer can make their own decision about what's most important to them, it's not necessarily "better" at Costco depending upon the situation. That's why I posted the deal in the first place even though it's the same price as Costco.

This is usually a custom built order from Apple. Microcenter will sometimes have them.

Yeah that sucks because it's easy to upgrade the hard drive but not the memory and yet they normally sell 8gb memory instead of 16gb on sale, and I think both upgrades cost $200 each.

Holding off for the Oct 18 announcement - where I expect they will be rolling out a more powerful mac mini, and the prices for these ones may go down. Also holding out for 16 gb due to my heavy RAM usage generally in OSX.

The SSD storage cannot be upgraded in the 2020 M1, it is soldered to the MB just like the RAM.

Yeah but I can buy a external ssd. Memory you cannot upgrade.

Amazon sells that configuration (16gb/512gb) as well. But last I looked it's sold at full MSRP... so with the sale price considered that extra 8gb will cost you $330. Mad
