I missed the previous deal on Amazon. Glad eufy is running the same promotion on Newegg.

Hasn't this been ~100-130$ on sale normaly? $170 Seems a bit steep for older generation at this point.
even just searching Slickdeals it's been in Amazon for $130 multiple times the last few weeks/months.

Yeah I ordered the newer one at Costco for $220, then I can see how the battery life is for an extended period and return it if there is ever a price drop.

This one supports fingerprint and comes with Wi-Fi bridge.

I purchased this over the Costco deal given battery life is said to last longer with the standalone bridge and can be readily replaced with your own AA batteries

In for one. Perfect timing with moving into a new place and the key getting stuck in the deadbolt. Thanks op. Thumbs up and repped

I got this on Amazon couple weeks ago.

I'd say this is much better and well built than my Schlage.

Pros vs my Schlage:
App is much better
Lag time / latency much faster via app
Fingerprint fast and responsive
Low noise / much smoother

Cons:
Need WiFi bridge; supposedly better for battery but my Schlage without bridge lasts me about a year
No HomeKit

https://slickdeals.net/f/15162784-eufy-smart-lock-touch-99-99?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1Ahh it was the eufy sell a few months ago but didn't come with the bridge and I was too cheap to buy it lol.. remember $99 somewhere 🤣
Good catch, didn't notice the others were not the finger print reader.

Any reasons why the built-in wifi over the external wifi bridge?

On a separate discussion, any comments on waiting/hoping that Amazon discounts it for holiday shopping, which includes what seems to be the new colors available (nickel, silver)?

any comments regarding the built in wifi and this bridge one ... obviously the built in wifi is probably better but anyone have any knowledge the bigger difference that they might have seen hands on ?

Are these easy to hack into? What happens if the battery dies?

So, I have the Wifi bridge (external WiFi) version (Fingerprint and number pad). My bridge is about 2-3feet away from the lock, so I don't see the Bluetooth issues (yet?). I've been using this door lock for the past 2months. So far so good. The reason I went with the external WiFi version (besides cost) was some Amazon reviews mentioned that the battery life with the built-in WiFi dies down quicker than the version with the external WiFi bridge. Of course, there wasn't much mention of how much quicker (eg. 50%? 25%? 10%?).
As I mentioned, I have the version with the external WiFi bridge, and I plan to get the built-in version when holiday-shopping/sales start up for another door on the house. Then I'll have direct comparison with performance between the two version. But my guess is by then, Eufy will have another version out Smilie

On a side note/gripe - I find it silly that Eufy didn't design the WiFi bridge to accomodate more than 1 keypad/lock. So if there were 2 or more doors with the Eufy lock, it would consequently need 1 WiFi bridge for each lock.

I have the external WiFi bridge version. There is a small micro-usb port on the bottom of the number-pad (ie. from the outside) to which you can plug, say a back-up battery charger to to give it a little juice to get inside. The other option is to use the Eufy custom key (ie. likely not able to reproduce the key at local locksmiths). In our package, we got 5keys.
