That's technically correct. However, I have both and I don't see much of a difference to be honest...if that helps.

Their two lines are Goodgrips (better, sold at BB&B and most nicer stores) and Softworks (sold at Target, Marshalls, Costco, others). These look like the higher end ones, but without a box, it's hard to confirm. But Macy's sell goodgrips stuff, so these are probably goodgrips too

For utensils, the softworks stuff is noticeably less good. Cheaper materials, basically self-made knockoffs. For the POP containers, they're VERY similar. Sizes are ever so slightly different for whatever reason, and some have rounded square buttons instead of circle. Beyond that, they're almost indistinguishable.

****That all being said, they recently updated the design on these. The lids are thinner which allows them to fit a little more, but they make a MUCH worse seal than the old ones. When they're full, you cannot lift the new ones by the lids. The lids just pull off when you try. They make a good enough seal on the shelf, but you could easily pick it up wrong and have it drop and spill. The older ones were much better, both goodgrips and softworks.

For reference, the Costco set is 9-piece and was $47.99 on sale. I ended up buying two sets and have been happy with them.

Don't waste your money on these. They do not keep anything fresh. I don't care what their reviews say, we have tried time and time again to put items in there and nothing stays fresh. Air always gets in.
.
Or, perhaps the air that is already in there before sealing?

We need some more, but none of these seem to keep anything long term, such as 6 months or more, without first putting inside a freezer bag and removing excess air.

When you depress the button it releases the seal....
You don't seem to understand what I said. When you initially put the lid on, the button is not pressed. You put it on and then press it to create what's supposed to be an air tight seal. The lid shouldn't just lift off easily, without pressing the button, but they do.

Quick note on Macy's jacked up completely f!@#ed "fraud protection" system -

I have a few HappyCard gift cards, which the only way to combine at Macy's is to buy a store gift card. I bought two, then two sets of the 3-piece in one order, and finally placed an order for another gift card with the HappyCard. It was declined. After ~1+ hr on the phone with Macy's and HappyCards, all I got was that the funds would be back on the card in 7-10 business days.

What a joke. Macy's is holding my money hostage for up to 2 weeks. That gift card is useless for the time being, and this sale might not even exist then.

Seems like the issue was caused because of more than 3 "rapid" transactions (over the span of like an hour or two?..).

It was in last month's sale. It will probably come around again and Black Friday is only just over a month away. Good luck!
