I definitely recommend this to anyone who is a fan of the original TJ&E; it stays very close to the original game's formula but adds some modern features. Like the original, it also has a great sense of style/humor and features couch co-op. In my opinion, this is also a fantastic price for those who are unfamiliar but interested.

Really fun silly local split-screen co-op top-down action/stealth 'rogue-like' reboot of an early 90's genesis game.

Highly recommend to anybody, kids and adults.


(note, the PC version is $1.50 on Steam and $1 on Humble, and has online co-op there)

The original Toejam & Earl was my favorite game as a kid. I've been holding off on buying this simply because all the sequels have been disappointments so far. But for just over $2, I'll definitely bite.

You won't be disappointed. I played the original on Sega Genesis too. This game is exactly the same level of fun, more I think, with some added features and updated graphics and online multiplayer. I own it on PS5, just bought it on Steam for $1.49 and will probably buy it for the Switch to for portable play.

As others have said you won't be disappointed. Great game that really kept the true feel of the orginal game while building upon it. Different characters and hats change up the pace a bit so it has a little more replayability. For 2 bucks it's a steal.

Was the original Toejam and Earl a bird's eye view like this? The one I remember playing on Sega Genesis was a side scroller which I guess was a sequel and that game was awesome
