RTINGS reviews on it are ok. Consensus is that even though it's mini-LED equipped, it still doesn't provide as good local dimming compared to other QLED TVs.

You may be referring to the r645 that was released this year. The r635 is last year's model and inferior to the r645. The r645 was on sale recently for not much more than this.

Nope, the 635. 645 likely the same way with local dimming not being so great. I'd go with the 75" Samsung Q70A for $1359 with student or EPP discount over this any day.

This is the lowest price on the 65" that I can find. There is a better deal on the 75" at Amazon and Best Buy.
