Forgive me if I don't speak your taxtorian language. What I stated stands as is. Colgate is a multi billion dollar company and they're been giving away hundreds of thousands in free products for years. In case you may not know, they have started giving away mouthwash & toothbrushes after coupon too at rite aid. There are numerous oral care brands that sell just fine & don't do this. Colgate already has a large part of the marketshare with P&G so again it makes zero since to give away something for "marketing/advertising purposes". Especially given the fact you are already a household name. I wouldn't go broke trying to get you to buy my products that's for damn sure.
Has anyone ever been turned down..? I have a few that exp 10/23 I wanna use but I've never used tried expired MFR paper q before... In what situation would the MFR paper q beep if it just exp 4 days ago other than wrong item bought?

I think it's due to an overproduction, which kinda makes no sense why they're giving them away with all the supply chain issues everywhere.... I say overproduction because there are so many expired Colgates at my stores, if it didnt expire months ago, they exp this month, and they are still on the shelves... Sure my stores have Colgate stock, but half of it expired back in Feb 21 or Aug 21 or this month. I've bought it to their attention in the past, but I notice that just makes them take it away and remove that particular tube's shelf space instead of replacing with new tubes.
That's not it. Your store's employees are lazy and have not done outdates. None of my stores from CVS, Walgreens, or RA have expired stock. My tubes expire all the way to 2023. Your DM doesn't care to make sure they are doing their jobs. I would call and suggest they fix it.

All CRTs have a 2 day grace at the register or at SCO, however, sometimes you will get stores that will not take them so that is when SCO comes in handy. DQ expire on the given date, no grace. I have read that mq have 2 week grace. I have never tried so I cannot offer any insight on that. As for the $7.98 Colgate working for your $6/$30 threshold, the answer is yes, it will count towards your threshold because that $7.98 is a digital manufacture's coupon. If it had been a CRT that made them free, they would not have counted.

Take the hypothetical example given earlier. Let's say it costs Colgate $1 to make the toothpaste,which they sell to CVS for $3. CVS sells it to the customer for $4. In this case, Colgate could be selling a certain promotional quantity of toothpaste to CVS for $1. CVS gives it away for free to the customer. Colgate hasn't lost made any money on it, but they haven't lost money on it, either. They gain short term market share from Crest, and they hope that translates into long-term market share gain also, making the promotion worthwhile to them. CVS paid $2 for two tubes, but they can advertise it as a $8 freebie to the customer, which they hope will draw customers to the store where they will buy other things with high margins.
Companies like Colgate do this because they have to constantly fight to keep or grow their market share. You see this most commonly with Coke and Pepsi. While they don't give them away for free, they do promotions with stores where they pay stores to promote their products by putting them on sale.
I think buying two should be OK, even when bogo. I'm not too sure, so maybe someone else can chime in and help.
