Better models do. I know nothing about this particular one, or what it costs to make a quality unit, but I've looked into them before and they're usually considerably pricier.

Also, keep in mind they take up a lot of space and are hard to clean, so unless you plan on slicing a lot of meats and cheeses, they aren't often worth having in the home.

You need to spend more on any type of cutting device. The quality of the blade is not going to be in this unit.

The safest and best knife is the sharpest one you can have.

You can get a better unit for 100 bucks with better blade and motor.

Never get cheap on cutting blades of any type (knife, blender, mixer, juicer).

You work hard all you life, get something nice for yourself.

Gonna dial you back on juicer, a good masticating on sale won't set you back much & no blades. laugh out loud

Ditto. I bought this last time to make Chicago style Italian sliced beef.

The blade is wobbly, cheap, gets stuck every other minute, meat gets stuck behind nonstop, immediately rusts if you don't wipe all moisture down before putting it away, doesn't cut thin slices whatsoever.

Also, can't cut raw meat thinly, or any ham that's moist. If you press meat too hard into, the motor starts dying and you can smell something inside burning away.

It's certainly no restaurant equipment. $30 bucks wasn't a huge gamble, but I returned it after one try.

have been tempted to get this during the last couple of deals on it, but after reading the reviews and checking out the several hundred dollar ones in delis ran opposite direction from deals.

I bought this last time. Its worth $30. I've been using it to slice homemade bacon. Have to kinda maneuver the bacon around the blad because the meat "shelf" isn't wide enough, but I'm generally satisfied. Pain to clean though.

These are just crap. Pain to clean, doesn't slice thin (you know that's what you want it for) and takes up way too much space on the counter.
Get a good knife, stop drinking so much and maybe you can slice something with a steady hand 😜

It's $30 but has been sitting in a box since. The suction cups don't work to keep the thing from moving. The thickness setting dial drifts so had to apply pressure to keep slicing thinly for beef. It's fine for thicker slicing but rarely if ever my tool of choice

got this in the last deal mostly for jerky. Works okay but the beef has to be firmed up in the freezer almost to the core but still a little pliable. I havent had drift issues with the thickness. I have had some issue with a clean cut. After a few slices one way, there will be a flap of meat on the tail end and I'll flip it over to clean it up.
